Camp is open to all girls and adults! Invite a friend to join you at camp. She pays the session fee plus $12 for a membership to Girl Scouts of the USA.

Troop Camp
A place where your entire troop can come and enjoy activities together. Whether it’s a planned troop campout at one of our properties, with the assistance of staff, or on your own, troop camp offers a variety of opportunities and levels to practice your outdoor skills.
New this year:
Camp Roundelay no longer requires you to sign up and pay for additional horse activities. Just choose a session either with or without horses offered.
Level 1 – Grades 1+ and adults
First time troop campers and troop leaders will learn outdoor skills with the support of a camp counselor. Leaders will assist in leading activities, supervise their individual troop throughout the day/evening and provide Safety-Ratio adults. No Basic Outdoor Skills training is required. One adult per troop will be offered Basic Outdoor Skills Training at no cost. Camp provides all food, equipment, supplies and trained/certified staff for specialty activities such as waterfront activities, archery, and climbing wall (additional cost – Camp Shingobee Timbers only). All planning of cook-out meals and activities will occur at camp, as a learning process for both girls and troop leaders. Cost applies to girls and adults.
Level 2– Grades 1+ and adults
For the intermediate troop campers. Bring adult advisors to chaperone and guide activities. There is no cost for Safety-Ratio chaperones. Basic Outdoor Skills training and First Aid/CPR is required for at least one leader per troop. One adult per troop will be offered Advanced Outdoor Skills Training at no cost. Girls live and work with their troop in units. One meal a day is provided in the dining hall. Troop provides other food, equipment, and supplies. Each troop will plan their meals ahead of time. Girls cook meals over open fires or propane stoves. A staff liaison is assigned to each troop to assist with some activities and run the specialty areas such as the climbing wall (additional cost – Camp Shingobee Timbers only), archery and waterfront activities. Cost applies to girls and non Safety-Ratio adults.
Level 3 – Grades 6+ and adults
For the advanced troop campers. Bring adult advisors to chaperone and guide activities. There is no cost for Safety-Ratio chaperones. Advanced Outdoor Skills training and First Aid/CPR is required for at least one leader per troop. Troops sleep in tents at pre-established primitive camp sites. Tents available for rent from camp for $5/night. A staff liaison is assigned to each troop to assist running the specialty areas such as the climbing wall (additional cost – Camp Shingobee Timbers only), archery and waterfront activities. All meals are brought and prepared by the troop. Girls live and work with their troop in units. Each troop will plan their meals ahead of time. Girls cook meals over open fires or propane stoves. Cost applies to girls and non Safety-Ratio adults.
Troop Camp EXTRAvaganza – Grades 1+ and adults
Can’t get your troop to agree on dates? Choose from the advertised flex dates. Come to camp as a troop among troops. Special social activities will be planned for all troops to participate in as desired. Bring SWAPS and meet other troops. Plenty of time will be given for troops to plan their schedule; staff will be available for specialty programming. Bring enough adults to support Safety-Ratio. No special trainings will be offered to troop leaders (Basic Outdoor Skills or Advanced Outdoor Skills). All food will be provided - 1 meal per day will be prepared by the girls in the unit. Cost applies to girls and adults.
Adult Training Opportunities – Even if you are not attending a schedule Troop Camp with your girls, as a leader you may sign up and attend one of the training dates.
Basic Outdoor Skills:
This is a hands-on course designed for those leaders who are ready to take their girls on their first day or overnight camping trip. This 4-hour course happens outdoors, rain or shine. This course is a requirement in the approval process for Short Trip/Camping Applications (available on our website). The course is offered at a council camp property, come and enjoy the camp experience we offer to girls!
